• Is this a good gift for someone living abroad?

  It's one of the most common reasons people reserve. Held works across countries and time zones — your touch shows up in their room as a soft glow, with no message to answer and no time difference to navigate. Each pair ships in a linen sleeve with a blank handwritten note card, ready to give.

• How is Held different from a long distance touch lamp?

  Touch lamps are great, but they live on a side table. Held is soft — heavy enough to feel real in your lap, made of brushed merino wool over slow foam. It works as a quiet amber lamp on the sofa most of the time, and glows for the person you're thinking of when you hold it.

• Why do I need this when I already have FaceTime and texts?

  You don't, the same way you don't need a candle when you have a lightbulb. Messages ask for a reply. Calls schedule your time. Held does neither. It's a quiet way to say "I'm here" without asking anything back — for the small moments most communication is too heavy for.

• Can I connect more than two cushions?

  Yes. A set can connect 2, 3, 4, or more cushions. Every cushion glows when any other in your set is held. Common sets are long-distance couples (two), families (three or four), and close friend groups (three or more).

• What if my long distance partner doesn't want one?

  Your reservation is fully refundable until your pair ships in autumn 2026. If they're not ready, neither are you — cancel any time before then and your full €159 comes back.

• Does it need an app, Wi-Fi, or a subscription?

  It needs Wi-Fi at home, but no app to learn and no subscription for the core touch. You set it up once with a short guided pairing, then it disappears into the room.

• What does it actually send? (Private by design)

  Only one thing: a soft light between two paired cushions. No camera. No microphone. No messages. No online status. No public profile. No subscription for the core touch. It sends a feeling, not data about you.

• What if you don't ship?

  If we can't deliver, your full €159 comes back — every cent. We'll send quiet updates from prototype to production so you can see exactly where we are.

• Can I gift it without telling them first?

  Yes. Each pair ships with a linen sleeve and a blank handwritten note card so you can give one in person, or send it as a surprise.

• What happens if one breaks?

  We repair or replace any cushion that fails through normal use, for the full first year. We'll publish full warranty terms before shipping.
